Finca Cerdo Magico was a 100 Acre, heavily overgrazed property for sale in December 2014 when Charlie surveyed the the site for perspective buyer, Jonathan Kaye. Since then, with some input via skype and phone conversations with Charlie, Jonathan has been able to develop the property into a piece of land that is both aesthetically stunning and is supplying food to Cabarete’s most underprivialged community.
Rather than hire a full time crew and send out the orders, Jonathan created opportunities for local farmers to set up their own enterprises for profit share. What we currently have is the beginning of multi strata agroforestry and solvopasture system, key line water management, and an abundance of perennial and annual harvests being sold to local restaurants in the nearby beach town of Cabarete. In it’s second year now, things are evolving well with much of the superplus food being shared.

Jonathan’s Review for Regen-Dev Facebook Page
“Charlie has been doing some consulting for me on my 100 acre farm in the Dominican Republic. He is thoughtful, thorough and responsive. I am a neophyte in the permaculture world and his support has given me confidence in the endeavor. Recommend him highly.” – Jonathan – Owner of Finca Cerdo Mágico
