Glossary
Here Is a glossary of terms used frequently on this blog. Rather than to reinvent the wheel I’ve sourced some of the definitions from Wikipedia and where relevant I’ve also shared a video that I feel helps with the understanding of a concept.
Agrology
The application of science to agriculture.
Agroforestry
Agroforestry or agro-sylviculture is a land use management system in which trees or shrubs are grown around or among crops or pastureland. It combines shrubs and trees In agricultural and forestry technologies to create more diverse, productive, profitable, healthy, and sustainable land-use systems. -wiki
Multi Strata Agroforestry/Food Forest ..multistrata agroforestry systems are composed of several strata of trees and tree crops. While the simplest systems consist of only two strata—a lower stratum of tree crops such as coffee (Coffea spp.), cocoa (Theobroma cacao), or tea (Camellia sinensis), and an upper, equally monospecific stratum of shade trees—the most complex systems approach the structural complexity of natural forest and may harbor more than a hundred plant species and varieties, being “agroforests,” as defined by Michon and de Foresta (1999).

Silvopasture
Silvopasture (Latin, silva forest) is the practice of combining forestry and grazing of domesticated animals in a mutually beneficial way. Advantages of a properly managed silvopasture operation are enhanced soil protection and increased long-term income due to the simultaneous production of trees and grazing animals.-wiki

Holistic Planned Grazing/Holistic Management
Mimicking the natural herding tendencies of ungulates on grasslands and savannahs.
BioChar
Biochar is charcoal used as a soil amendment. Like most charcoal, biochar is made from biomass via pyrolysis. Biochar is under investigation as an approach to carbon sequestration to produce negative carbon dioxide emissions.-wiki

Keyline Design
Keyline design is a technique for maximising the beneficial use of water resources on a piece of land. The Keyline refers to a specific topographic feature linked to water flow. -wiki
Carbon Farming
-Carbon Farming is simply farming in a way that reduces Greenhouse Gas emissions or captures and holds carbon in vegetation and soils. It is managing land, water, plants and animals to meet the Triple Challenge of Landscape Restoration, Climate Change and Food Security.-wiki
Restoration Agriculture
Mark Shepard bringing carbon farming, keyline design and permaculture design all together on his farm in viola Wisconsin, mimicking the Oak Savannah Biome.
Permaculture Design
Permaculture (Permanent-Culture) is a system of agricultural and social design principles centred around simulating or directly utilising the patterns and features observed in natural ecosystems.
Biodynamic Agriculture
Biodynamic agriculture is a method of organic farming originally developed by Rudolf Steiner that employs what proponents describe as “a holistic understanding of agricultural processes”
