Here is an ingenious example of biomimicry in agriculture – Fast rotation of livestock, just like ungulates in the wild that would be continuously encircled by predators on their endless migration amongst trees and prairies. This food savannah system is very much a glimpse of the farms of the future in my opinion. Of course where you see the Pigs in this shot you could quite sustainably rotate crops of grains, starches or annual/perennial produce. The possibilities are endless, but simply bringing biodiversity back into agriculture along with scientific understanding of ecosystem stability, we can produce greater yields of healthier food and build soil as appose to loosing it, as is happening in the current agricultural paradigm. The future of agriculture is abundant!
